The GME MT403 EPIRB has a stable transmitted signal for fast response time and a unique digitally coded message provides Search and Rescue authorities with information about the country of beacon registration and identification of the boat in distress.
An auxiliary homing transmitter is also included in the beacon to allow Search and Rescue to home in on the distressed beacon.
